These videos are great and have been highly informative for even someone like me who is in middling HR rank. I was never sure if you absolutely needed rapid fire for bowguns, if all the ammo types were viable at various levels (such as rapid fire 2s are visble to single shot 3s)

I hope we get to see more of these videos in the future when Monster Hunter Wilds releases!

How do you deal with this with dual Blades?

Just started a few days ago my weapon of choice. Love seeing those big number from the wyvernblast

I know this is 3 years out, but this video has been very helpful for planning out my endgame path, especially the acknowledgement that you need elemental weapons for Alatreon. Wish that more weapon types got the Build A Better Hunter treatment, but glad that GS was one of them.

I still haven’t beaten it,but for 1st phase I’ve been using a ice bow to break off the boulders, and for 2nd and 3rd phase I’ve just been using the Ls clutch claw attack on its tail over and over again. It’s working out pretty well since he doesn’t use his tail for attacks for all I know. For the wind rasengan I’ve just been getting behind him when he does it or just farcastering back to camp.

How much defense is a good defense?

Alatreon's armor set mixed with namielle's makes for a very comfortable armor set that benefits from defence boost and does pretty good elemental damage. pretty dang comfortable and can net you triple k.o's with the correct armor set. you can also use alatreon's armor to buffer safi'jiiva's health drain back down to 3 piece in exchange for about the same elemental dps without coalescence. just remember your elemental power is limited by eating for elemental res. so your full power is locked behind 1 faint but you can take a lot more than before. its also a deco eater you need rare decos for it. hard elem res and hard defence.

Launched my SOS flare in the first 10 seconds. Spent 50 fucking minutes fighting it just to barely not have enough damage to kill it in time because of its bullshit attack spam. NOBODY CAME TO HELP.

I know that boxing glove style weapons are kinda pointless since dual blades exist, but cmon... imagine getting into a armlock with a rajang and instead of being thrown. You throw him and tenderize his entire body Mike Tyson style.

tear off its armor it'll weaken its attacks for a bit not the aura systeem but something to know by that i mean its combos lessen in size and number the aura is still active and it does chonnky damage.

something to note: you can delay its signature attack with the extended k.o you get from the purple scales it needs to be in purple scale mode(on both its head and tail) long enough for it to do its ultimate attack after all cant spread purple scales if you got none. bomb pods can also mess up certain attacks of it potentially the ultimate as well.

It took me around 15 hunts and well over 30 carts before I finally killed him for the first time. Antiblast 3 and Divine Blessing 3 are absolute necessities in this fight (otherwise nearly all of his explosive slime attacks will be able to kill you in one or two hits) Also make sure to bring shocktraps and use them whenever possible, wallbang him whenever possible, and Superman dive his attacks as much as you can.

Maximum might is a good way to get your affinity up since your not using stamina with the guns that and weakness exploit would get you to 80 affinity in battle. Get a weapon with that much affinity or add crit eye to get to 100 affinity
